Vegetable Dicing Machine

Precision dicer producing uniform cubes from root vegetables and firm fruits for freezing, drying and ready-meal lines.
How it works
Product is fed into a rotating impeller that presses it against a stationary slicing knife, producing a slab. The slab passes through a cross-cut knife set and then a final rotary or band knife that cuts it into dice. Slice thickness, cross-cut spacing and final knife set determine the cube size, and each is changed by swapping knife sets.
Suitable for
Carrot, potato, onion, celery root, beetroot; firm fruits such as apple; products destined for IQF, drying or soup mixes.
Not suitable for
Leafy greens; very soft or overripe product that collapses under the impeller; long fibrous products that wrap around the knives.
Material & compliance
Product-contact surfaces and knife holders SUS304 (EN 1.4301); knives in hardened stainless or tool steel with food-grade suitability. Contact surfaces Ra <= 0.8 um; knife guards and interlocks per machine safety.
CE declaration and DoC; EN 10204 3.1 for contact stainless; machine guarding and interlocks per EU machinery rules (EU 2023/1230 applies from January 2027); hygienic design for wet cleaning.
Selection notes
Cut quality depends on knife condition more than on machine price — budget for knife sharpening and spare sets. Confirm changeover time between sizes, because multi-size plants lose more time to changeover than to cutting. Ask for a cut test on your own product.
When you should not buy this machine: Do not buy a dicer if your product is soft or leafy — it will smear rather than cut, and you need a slicer or a band cutter. Also avoid oversizing: a larger dicer does not improve cut quality, only throughput.

FAQ
What determines the dice size?
Three knife stages: the slicing knife sets slab thickness, the cross-cut sets strip width, and the final knife sets cube length. Changing any of them requires the matching knife set.
Why do my dice come out uneven?
Most often worn knives, incorrect feed rate, or product that is too soft for the impeller pressure. Check knife sharpness first — it is the cheapest fix.
How often do knives need sharpening?
It depends on product abrasiveness and hours run. Root crops with high soil content wear knives fastest; pre-washing product before cutting extends knife life noticeably.
